Gratitude Post #3 – Thank you March

I think it is really important to be appreciative and show gratitude for the small things we experience in our day to day lives. These small things may actually turn out to be the big things – the ones we’ll remember when we are older. I have started a monthly series of gratitude posts to remind myself of the things that are important to me. ‘Gratitude Post #3 – Thank you March’ is the third instalment  – if you are interested you can find the first two posts in the series here and here.

I would like to say thank you to March for:

My Birthday

March is my Birthday month. I don’t generally like celebrating but I made the effort  to make arrangements this year. Fancy food and drinks I went out for a nice fancy meal and even fancier cocktails. It was a really good evening.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was this month. I have PCOS and Endometriosis and didn’t think I would ever have a baby. Molly is my little miracle. Mother’s Day reminds me of just how blessed I am to actually be a mother.

I was bitten by the upcycling bug this month. It’s an interest I’ve had for a while but had never taken on a project. This month I went for it and I want to take on more and more projects now.

Easter Crafting

With Easter just around the corner, Molly and I made an Easter BonnetEaster BonnetWe had so much fun making the bonnet. I love everything craft related and the fact that Molly appears to be following in my footsteps makes my heart feel all fuzzy and warm. I cannot wait to make another one next year.

Molly’s Development

In March alone, Molly seems to have come on leaps and bounds. She is such a clever little girl anyway but this month she seems to have learned so much, so fast. She is counting better, her speech is clearer, she knows most of the colours – though she struggles with orange for some reason, her coordination is improving, she is mixing better with other children, her concentration has improved, and she has even started sleeping better (hard to believe I know but it’s true. Maybe the sleep clinic I attended actually helped..). I am so proud of my little Molly Moo Moo.

My sister and I took our daughters to the park because the weather was really nice. We are so blessed that we both had a daughter only a few months apart. My sister and I have always had a close relationship and it looks like Jess and Molly will be just as close as we are.

They are currently two and three and already have so much love for each other. It is beautiful and inspiring to see.

So that is my gratitude round up for March. It was quite a quiet month really but there is still so much to be grateful for. I cannot believe it is already April. Where is this year going?
