BlogOn Xmas Jumper Linky!

BlogOn Xmas Jumper Linky!

This coming Sunday I am going to BlogOn, my first ever blogging conference. To say I am nervous would be an understatement. Things like this definitely take me out of my comfort zone but I know I will love it once I am there. I will learn a lot and I am really excited about meeting all the other bloggers. I believe there’s cake and wine too so I am really looking forward to that! Here is my contribution to the BlogOn Xmas Jumper Linky!

Please share your favourite photo of you.

Urgh! Do I have to? I hate having my photo taken. It’s like my face morphs into something non-human whenever there’s a camera pointed towards it. This one is the best I could find. I’m on the right. That’s my sister Danielle on the left. Yes, I am in my happy place; a beer garden!

If you could choose a band to play in your garden for your birthday, who would you pick?

Oooh tough question. I would probably have to go for Busted. Well, no probably, I would because I love them.  ha-ha

What do you take with you for long visits to the toilet?

My phone. This is the only time I get five minutes peace to have a quick check of Facebook. Actually, scrap that. I am a mother, I never get any peace..

What word can’t you spell?

Liaise! It never sticks in my head for some reason.

What’s the most unusual job you’ve ever had?

Well, it’s not an unusual job but for me it was unusual… By trade I am a tutor. I hate public speaking and being the centre of attention. As a tutor I had to stand up in front of about fifteen 16 – 18 years olds all day. I loved it but at the same time I couldn’t have picked a worse career for myself.

Knitting, sewing or crotchet?

Knitting. Though I can’t do it. I attempt it every now and then but it’s very complicated. For me anyway…

Without looking it up, what is a jerkinhead?

No idea. I’ve never even heard the word before. Is it some sort of food stuff, like beef jerky or something?

If you could have as much of one food as you wanted forever, what would it be?

Warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream! I am on a diet so this answer came very easily to me. I need cake!

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

Probably public speaking of some sort… Or when I was a tutor we always had on the spot observations by management and they were pretty nerve-wracking.  I am actually really scared of attending BlogOn on Sunday. Stupid I know, but I am soooo nervous. I know I will have a good time and that everyone will be lovely, but I am still bricking it. My sister always laughs at me and says I am socially awkward because I always say something stupid when I’m nervous. Or mumble so nobody can understand me. She’s right, of course. Lol. If you see me sitting in the corner all on my lonesome on Sunday please talk to me. I’m not that weird. Promise!

If you needed a getaway driver, who would you choose?

Lewis Hamilton. He’s a pretty handy driver isn’t he.

Would you rather live in Narnia or at Hogwarts?

Hogwarts. Narnia would be way too cold for me.

What snack food says ‘Christmas’ to you?

Eggnog! And tins of sweets.

Is there life on Mars?

Yeah, why not. Surely we can’t be the only planet in the solar system with life on it.

Which Christmas movie would you be a character in, and who would play you?

My favourite Christmas movie of all time is ‘Santa Clause the Movie’ so I’d love to be in that. I could be Santa’s Little Helper. I’m not sure who would play me; obviously someone mega famous. Of course… ahem..

What are you proudest of?

Being a mummy x

So those are my answers. If you want to take part too just click on the jumper below. I can’t wait to meet everyone on Sunday.

I have never been to blog on and i am going with my sister. If you bump in to us (We are both going to be wearing the same top!) then you are more than welcome to be nervous with us 🙂

  • Tim

It’s common enough to feel scared before your first conference – I nearly turned round and went home my first time! – but you’ll be in good company. You have blogging in common with everyone there and don’t be afraid to just walk up to someone and say hi. Odds are they will welcome the company too!

Thanks Tim. I am sure I will be fine once I get there. Eeeek, it will soon be here x

  • The Pramshed

Hope you had a brilliant time at BlogOn, and it is natural to feel scared before your first blog conference – they are overwhelming and you have no idea what to expect. I hope you learnt loads and got a goody bag too. Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

I had a brilliant time, thank you. I really did learn a lot, particularly how little I know! haha. The goody bag was amazing. I am really looking forward to attending the next one now. x
