Beautiful Bespoke Papercuts from Twenty Fingers

Twenty Fingers is a family run business that specialises in creating bespoke and personalised gifts including Papercuts, Bead Art, Wooden Spoons and Christmas Tree Decorations. All of the products are handmade by Twenty Fingers right here in the UK.

Earlier this year I lost a baby and ever since I have been looking for ways I could commemorate the memory of my little angel. I knew I wanted something personalised, but I wasn’t sure what. Then Twenty Fingers got in touch and asked me if I would like to review one of their Papercuts.

Papercuts are pictures that are designed and cut from a single piece of paper – the results are incredible.

How does it work?

The process is really simple:

  • First, you select the papercut design you want from their website. There are some absolutely beautiful designs to choose from.
  • Then you personalise your design – choosing which frame colour, glass type, and colour of artwork you’d like.

When you have completed your order, Twenty Fingers get to work designing your personalised product. They will email you with a preview of their creation for your approval, and at this stage you can make any amendments, if necessary. After that, your bespoke design will be shipped out.

What did I choose?

I opted for a text/ lyrics/quotes design as opposed to a picture. With this option, you can choose whatever words you want and Twenty Fingers will add embellishments to the design if you would like them to. I asked them to add some feathers.

For my design, I chose a standard glass and a standard sized papercut. Other options include a larger size papercut and an Invisible TrueColour glass.

I chose a black frame and black artwork as it would go well with the other frames in my house.

The lyrics I chose are from the song ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri:

“I have died every day, waiting for you

Darling, don’t be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years

I’ll love you for a thousand more”

I know this song is associated with a vampire film about two people finding their true love, and nothing to do with pregnancy loss, but I interpret the lyrics completely differently.

We tried for three years for this baby and every day we waited it was a struggle. To me, the lyrics are saying that those three years were like a thousand years. Unfortunately, this baby wasn’t meant to be but I will wait a thousand more years to be blessed with another baby if I have to.

What’s the verdict?

The papercut arrived in perfect condition. It had been very carefully packaged to ensure it didn’t break in transit.

I immediately fell in love with my bespoke papercut from the second I saw it. It was exactly what I had been looking for – an absolutely perfect way to remember my angel.

The quality of the whole product is second to none. The frame is very sturdy, and the papercut is designed to perfection. It is beautiful.

If you are looking for a personalised design for yourself or as a gift for someone I would highly recommend using Twenty Fingers.

These Papercuts are gorgeous and I love the design that you’ve chosen. I adore that song for exactly the same reason. I’ve lost 4 babies and that song always makes me cry as I think of them and my two rainbows. This is such a lovely way to remember your precious baby. Hugs Lucy xxxx

We love twenty fingers and have one of their paper cuts having into lounge with the special glass so that it keeps the sun away. They make beautiful gifts. The quote is lovely, its funny how we interpret things in different ways to the way they are intended. I do the same all the time. xx

There is a lady who does similar things to this where I live. I got a first anniversary with our wedding colours and our two cats included in it and for my baby shower my friend got one with my baby scan photo in a pregnant lady.
These gifts are so unique and thoughtful and not too costly either!!
Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back tomorrow!
